Retirement Plan Administrator
Job Summary
The Retirement Plan Administrator administers employer sponsored Retirement plans. The Retirement Plan Administrator ensures efficient and accurate administration while providing plan participants and sponsors with excellent customer service and communication. The Administrator plays a critical role in the annual plan cycle compliance by preparing plan reports, testing, valuations, enrollments, distributions & loans. The Retirement Plan Administrator is responsible for communicating confidential and time sensitive material. You will be responsible for being familiar with a wide variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.
This position is non-exempt, can be located either onsite in the Manhattan, KS office or remote and will report to the TPA Department Manager. Compensation and level of role will be commensurate with experience and location.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Accounting work on retirement plan annual valuations
Answering and directing phone calls and emails with clients
Maintaining computer and manual filing systems
Verifying and organizing client data
Interpreting plan rules to ensure compliance with plan document
Ensuring documents are sent, received, and processed in a timely basis
Performing distribution and loan processing
Preparing annual reports, to include government forms, in addition to other regularly scheduled reports
Testing for plan limits to stay in compliance with regulations
Growing and maintaining client relationships
Maintaining professional and field-related knowledge regarding retirement plan regulations
Delegating and reviewing workflow processes with team members
Reviewing and modifying procedures in relation to current and new regulations
Desired skills include, but are not limited to:
Accounting experience or strong math skills
Strong computer and software skills, to include knowledge in Microsoft Office
Experience in a customer service capacity

Able to exercise independent judgment and be self-motivated with excellent time management to plan and accomplish goals
